Westwinds Inn Key West

We enjoyed a nice stay at Westwinds with our most recent stay in Key West. The staff is friendly and the property was in great shape. A huge bonus (especially on this cooler than normal trip) was the amazing heated pool! Even though it’s a couple blocks off Duval it’s still easily accessible with a quick walk or short bike ride. Also, check out the amazing bakery next door (their breakfast sandwich is crazy good).

Rooms are decent, it had all the essentials, it was extremely clean which is always a plus! It was located in a good area, quiet but within walking distance of everything. The service was immaculate from the time you checked in until you checked out everyone was nice and accommodating. I especially enjoyed coming to breakfast where Tyrone kept everything stocked and fresh and assisted me when needed. He was tremendously helpful in giving me excellent recommendations on good places to eat and things to do! He was awesome! I will definitely go back!

We stayed here for two nights on our trip to Key West and I have not ONE negative thing about the place. The rooms were clean and perfectly sized (we had a king suite for two). Two pools with one heated and despite all the guests using them they were never crazy busy or crowded. All the rooms are very close to both pools and breakfast. Served a light breakfast everyday which is perfect with how expensive everything is. All in all very pleased and we will absolutely be back!

We’ve stayed at Westwinds Inn at least four times in the past four years, and we absolutely love this little hidden gem in Key West. Yes, the furniture doesn’t match and the place isn’t shiny and new—but that’s EXACTLY the charm. It’s cozy, quaint, clean, and ridiculously comfortable. We won’t stay anywhere else. The beds are super comfortable, everything is always clean, and the two heated pools feel like your own private backyard oasis. Seriously… it’s giving “secret resort vibes.” We’ve stayed in four different room styles, and every single one had its own personality and charm. The continental breakfast is small but sweet, and the women who run it are lovely. Bonus points for letting you park your rented golf cart right on the property—huge win. And being just four blocks from Duval Street? You really can’t beat that. I’ve read some of the negative reviews and honestly… if you’re looking for brand-new, crisp, modern, Instagram-perfect hotel vibes, this is not your place—and that’s okay. There are plenty of shiny new hotels down the road. But if you love charm, comfort, character, and a laid-back Key West feel, Westwinds is it. 10/10. Highly recommend. Would stay again. And again. And again.

We stayed a week recently and we had a great stay. So quiet for Key West, and the location is perfect for walking around town. The cleaning staff are friendly and great at their job. Room was always perfect when we returned. It rained one day during our stay, no worries they have loaner umbrellas to use. Coin operated washer and dryer are convenient to pack light , but we had to run out for soap since we didn't see any for purchase. Breakfast is the usual Continental breakfast but always stocked and staffed.We would stay here again!

We travel to Key West a couple of times a year and stayed at Westwinds once because of a last minute planning snafu and needed somewhere for just a couple of days. The location is good if you plan to go to the boardwalk or marina for boating activities. The hotel was cute, nicely maintained and clean. Our room was ultra small, but we don’t know if all the rooms are that tiny. This is probably the only place we’ve stayed that had a laundry facility. We met some other couples at the pool who had mixed experiences at Westwinds.

I’d give this place a 4.5 out of 5 star rating. Great location as it’s walking distance to all things downtown Key West. The service upon check in was quick, professional and friendly. The room was very basic. There was a vending machine on site along with 2 pools. They had a breakfast available in the morning as well.

Westwinds is an excellent living area. I’ve seen some people try and trash talk them (of course) because not every place meets the standards of high maintenance tenants.. it’s everywhere. There will always be those people. There will always be crime where people live, their will always be unhappiness by people who don’t get their ways or can take accountability for their own actions. All and all,it is a good place to live. The management go above and beyond to provide safe clean and a stable living environment to their tenants. Maintenance is top notch. There at the snap of a finger. These people live and breath this property. They have committed theirselves to the best service they can provide. Don’t let the words of a few disgruntled people push you away. You never know what they may have done to become so bitter? 5 star, highly recommend
